Hi, just getting properly into Stage3d and Away3d and wondered if anyone could explain the technique used to create the explosion and laser weapon effects seen in Starforce Delta

Just want to know the general technique/workflow used to create the big explosions etc. I have played with the away3d particles system which is great but I wondered what other technique they could be using, bitmap materials etc

Thanks for any advice!

cheers

Well think I found the answer. For the benefit of anyone else looking for the same thing, here’s a good example

Hey,

sorry on noticing this post so late.

We used Liao Cheng’s particle editor to create these effects; as far as I know, his particle system has been integrated into Away3D 4.1; I’m only the artist though, maybe my coding colleagues can tell more about the technical side if that’s what you want to know.

Cheers,

Anyway my Color Change system is out there I plan to combine it with another system known as the Knight Cross.
Weapon Cross System X Color Change system=Rainbow Cross System

Somewhere in the story of the game Mega Man reaches a point where he has to choose 1 out of the 3 legendary weapons: a gaunlet, sword, and lance(the thing that they used in jousting). The gaunlet is called the “Gaia Fist”, the sword is called the “Hero Sword”, and the lance is called the “Heavenly Spear”. You can only choose one weapon and keep that one weapon.

It sorta works like the OOPARTs in SF2. You can equip the weapon in your EM Wave Data Equip Screen and by doing so you can keep hold of the weapon and use it in battle. At the beginning of a battle you are holdng onto your weapon and it can boost up your abilities giving you extra abilities. Once the weapon is equip there is a new set of laws now. You have 2 charge shots: your normal or Color form charge shot and your weapon charge shot. Like BN6 by sacrificing one of your Battle Cards you can perform an weapon charge shot.
