Material repeating against my will.

Hello guys,

I need some help. I have a 3D wheel on the stage and I’m giving it a material to which I can (after setting material.animateUVs = true) scale the U and the V’s perfectly. The only problem that I have is that the wheel repeats the material vertically (as shown in the picture below). I just want to see 1 apple on this wheel and not one on each face? of the wheel.

I thought the wheel would have just one face as a sphere has, or a Taurus, but it seams it acts (at least vertically) more like a…  cube?...

Any ideas how can I achieve this apple to appear only once?
thank you

did you use software like 3DS max to create the wheel, or did you create the whole geometry in away3D? If you used software like blender or max, I would unwrap the UVW and then create a texture for it myself.

This certainly looks like all faces share the same UVs. Simply unwrap as Qbrain says.
