Hi,

I want to create an animation where an object is moved in a straight path between two positions. Furthermore I want the velocity to be constant regardless of the distance between the start and end positions. Would appreciate any hints in the right direction.

a simple prop++ on enterfame should do it.

but have you ever played with behaviors in Prefab? There is a one called “linearGuy”, (its timebased)
new—>pick the property—> start/end value/time—> apply.
you can once applied change settings runtime. you can stack or queue more of them.
export as as3, (the api is also in as3 to be downloaded)
all code, just a few line will be found into the Prefab project class
