Change resolution / scale

Morning!

I got 50 FPS on ipad2, trying iPad3 I can only get about 30FPS.

I figure this is because of 4x more pixels to render ( ipad3 is double the resolution of ipad2 )

Is there a way to render every pixel at double the size? Or maybe somebody has some better tips for us?

Did you enable retina in the application descriptor file? Otherwise the iPad3 just scales everything up. In anything I’ve done, I’ve found performance on the iPad3 better than the 2.

Yes, I think that the retina thing is the problem actually. There are a alot of bitmap-textures onscreen, I guess these are causing the problem.

FPS goes up a lot when I get rid of my shaders. Even small-shaded objects cause a large drop in FPS. Since I wrote these shaders myself in an older dev version of Away3D I guess I didn’t do a very good job. Let me see if I can speed these here shaders up a bit…
