yep you’ve got it. Would definitely enjoy talking soon, but I’ve been up all night (almost 6 am here) and need to lie down for a bit. I implemented a kind of material LOD recently using a blur filter to squash the annoying moire patterns that 3.6 is prone to when a texture has a regular fine pattern. It works well on a similar notion of adjusting by cam zoom level. It was a demo much like a 3.6 version of Pete Stromberg’s shirt zoom example. Problem is it requires tiling the texture and it’s almost impossible to get photos that have zero variation in light so the tiling is evident. Thus the vectors. Like you, I cannot wait until 4.0 / FP 11 goes live
